WOODLANDS WEDDING – LIZZY AND ADAM

Lizzy’s mom has been my travel agent on all of my destination weddings and we met for the first time at a wedding at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana in 2012… the same weekend that Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast.  She mentioned to me numerous times that I would be getting a phone call from her once one of her daughters got engaged.  That day came, and I was thrilled to hear that her daughter Lizzy was engaged to Adam, and they were planning a Long Island wedding in May.  Lizzy and Adam booked the Woodlands for their reception hall, and we began brainstorming some ideas.  Adam’s family owned a 1960’s convertible porsche that we planned to use for photos and video.  Unfortunately, on their wedding day… it rained.  We were still able to get a lot of footage outdoors of the bridal party and family on their wedding day, but they decided to do a Day After Shoot with me to get some more footage and photos of just the two of them alone.  This also enabled us to take out the 1960’s convertible porsche for a spin.  On the Day After Shoot (which happened about 3 weeks after their wedding day) we first went to Northport Harbor. I filmed Lizzy and Adam on the docks, holding balloons, and blowing bubbles.  I also spotted an oversized pink poodle (which matched Lizzy’s color theme for her wedding) and asked the owner if it was ok to use the dog in some shots.  The dog wasn’t too happy about this, but if you look close, you will see I was able to grab a quick shot of Lizzy and Adam walking the dog near the docks.  The dog was not happy, but it worked lol.
